Ranji Season Begins with an Expelled Report Card!

The Ranji season 2009-’10 has thrown up its first controversy with the Services team expelled!
The Services team, comprising defense personnel and managed by the Services Sports Control Board (SSCB), decided not to travel to Srinagar at the late hour for their first match against Jammu and Kashmir.
While no reason has been forthcoming, speculation is that the team had a late thought about security given that the disputed region has not hosted a Ranji Trophy match since 2004. But why the team did not voice their concern instead of belatedly deciding not to term has fluxommed all and sundry.
The BCCI first decided to expel Services for the season, and speculation is that this will not be the end of the story for the Ranji Trophy as Mumbai look to add to their long history.
