In a belated decision that is likely to cause some embarrassment as well as agony and controversy, the BCCI has decided that Gwalior, not Kanpur, will host the second ODI between India and South Africa.
While some have attributed the decision to a deteriorating spectators’ stand, other reasons are emerging that perhaps the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) is in a row with the UP Government and unwilling to shell out the rent amount of Rs.1 crore towards the ODI.
This is heading towards another mini battle, one fears.
