Apparently, the Sri Lankan team decided to take the day off quite literally. While a few stepped out on Tuesday night, some decided they could do without the security escort.
After the horrific terror strike on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore on 3/3 earlier this year, the Sri Lankans requested tight security on their tour to India.
But they may have thought they could relax it for a few hours. Amongst those named prominently, although the story has not been confirmed by the Sri Lankan team management, include Sanath Jayasuriya and Tillekeratne Dilshan.
Some of the Sri Lankan cricketers were reportedly out to enjoy a dancing night at a club but failed to inform the security posted at the hotel of their whereabouts, leaving a few with anxious moments until they returned safely.
