Shane Warne: Get Rid of ODIs
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Jul 28 2009

While the ICC is contemplating changes to Test cricket, Shane Warne has another radical idea in mind.
Warne, who is currently playing the role of a commentator in the Ashes in England, has stated that he would like the ODI’s being scrapped altogether in favour of Test cricket complemented with Twenty20.
The legendary Australian leg spinner has claimed that while Test cricket remains the pinnacle of the sport, Twenty20 will test the players in the super speed format, eliminating the ODI’s, which he believes, serve no purpose and the free time would also make players available for domestic cricket.
His latest muse, Twenty20 not Shilpa Shetty, appears to have made the choice for him as he leads the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL as captain.
