Sri Lankan players may be complaining of over work but their board seems determined to appease not one, but both, its neighbours! This after featuring in a series against a third!
Sri Lanka is currently involved in a series against Bangladesh. But it appears players are groaning about wanting a break and hence, apparently the reason behind their board demanding a shorter itinerary on the tour that the Sri Lanka Cricket board has decided to undertake for the sake of Pakistan.
While Pakistan is alleging that Sri Lanka wants to cut the tour short because of India’s demands and making unnecessary demands in the way of the tour, SLC apparently wants Sri Lanka to play at least a one day series with India and this will be squeezed in somewhere after the Bangladesh tour and Pakistan’s series against Bangladesh.
It looks like neighbourly bonhomie is going a little in the other way. But it looks like they cannot enough of each other, one way or another.
