South Africa Bring Back Morne Morkel, Wayne Parnell After Dismal Showing
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Nov 25 2009

Rattled by the defeat in the second ODI to England and the criticism of South Africa’s bowling line up, Morne Morkel has been brought back into the team design and Wayne Parnell as cover for Charl Langeveldt.
After England chased down South Africa’s total comfortably in the second ODI, in the ODI series of England’s tour of South Africa, there was plenty of verbal takes on what went wrong with the South African bowling attack with many experts of the belief that the South African attack was beginning to wear thin on variety again.
Previously Allan Donald had stated that South African coach, Mickey Arthur, had concerns over the bowling line up although Arthur himself has not shed light on it. However, his attempts to unsettle the England team failed to have its effect and now it appears the hosts are in need of a serious redressal.
In that regard, Morne Morkel, who was overlooked for the ICC Champions Trophy at home, has been brought into the picture and expected to bolster the attack currently resting on the lone shoulders of Dale Steyn.
The impressive Wayne Parnell has also been recalled but as cover for Langeveldt who is apparently suffering from a shoulder injury.
It will be interesting to see if the two young bowlers can change the fortunes and silence the critics for South Africa.
