Tape Points To Match Fixing In ICL

Matters get murkier as supposedly tapes of conversations about match fixing surfaced on YouTube.
The reference too is the first season of the Indian Cricket League (ICL) and the conversation was allegedly taped between Mohammad Illyas, a member of the Pakistan selection committee, and Pakistan’s Chief Operating Officer, Saleem Altaf, apparently at the behest of former PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) chairman, Naseem Ashraf.
The audio tape apparently refers to Illyas talking about how Pakistan cricketers were fixing matches in the ICL and how one senior cricketer had turned up drunk for a fixture.
While there are now denials from both members about the voice on the audio tape, the timing is certainly untimely. Ejaz Butt, the current PCB chairman, is under fire for not being able to change things in the administration.
