The World's Best Cricket Team?

It is a very pertinent question, Australia after being on the top for a long time had to forgo its position after India and South Africa overpowered them. Now everyone is naming his favourite team which is eligible to occupy that coveted position.
There are two contenders for this position - South Africa and the other is India.
Graeme Pollock who is the former South African batsman and selector cannot decide between the two. As per him the recent wins of both India and South Africa against Australia proved that both teams are evenly balanced. He has his own take on the framework which forms a good team with batsmen as good scorers and at least two fast bowlers. Both South Africa and India has this winning combination.
Ray Illingworth, who is a former England captain and a selector, is of the opinion that South Africa is the best but in India ,India is the best though he doubted whether Indian team would be able to play as well on the hard pitch. Only after the various matches slated for this season are over then the picture will be clearer.
Steve Rixon who is former Australian wicketkeeper and New Zealand coach is of the opinion that Australia is still in the running and all the three teams are playing excellent, the winning of the matches depends on the conditions.
Anshuman Gaekwad who is former Indian cricketer and coach is of the impartial opinion that South Africa is the best closely followed by India giving a valid reason that South Africa has proved itself both on home ground and overseas while India has yet to do so overseas. If India wins the New Zealand series playing on different pitches it will be in No 1 position.
This is the opinion of only four cricketers out of the millions who belong to the cricket world. Every one will have their own view and own reasons for naming their favourite team as No 1.
