It is now official. Thilan Thushara will play no further part in Sri Lanka’s tour to India. But it has not set Sri Lanka back.
Thushara injured his shoulder just before the first Test against India at Motera in Ahmedabad. But apparently the injury is serious enough that he needs to rest perhaps upto four weeks.
Sri Lanka announced a team with Chanaka Welegedera who certainly rattled the Indians in the first session of the first day’s play.
In the meantime, Sri Lanka have called for Dilhara Fernando to join the squad for the rest of the series.
One man’s loss is perhaps two men’s gain!
