Vaughan blames Mumbai fiasco for Selectors’ Omission

Former England captain, Michael Vaughan, has blamed the fiasco in Mumbai for his omission on the tour to the West Indies.
Even as Kevin Pietersen is raising a storm, threatening to quit captaincy over the ECB’s selection committee decision to leave out the former England captain out of the tour to the West Indies, Vaughan has his own grouse to nurse.
Perhaps the weekend will determine if Pietersen and England coach Peter Moores will work together in the future again. But Michael Vaughan is certain that had it not been for the terror strikes in Mumbai that disrupted England’s tour that included the performance team training in Bengaluru of which Vaughan was a key component, he would not have ended up twiddling his thumbs at home.
The anger is palpable, even more so the frustration. While Strauss took the opportunity to shin through in the Tests despite having to leave Bengaluru early with the England team in the aftermath of the attacks and Vaughan must be feeling that he was not even been given a chance before being given the boot!
