Was Sachin To Blame for India's Loss in Hyderabad?
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Nov 7 2009

Strange but true. Some of the comments emerging in the aftermath of Sachin Tendulkar’s heroics is that the maestro should have completed the task.
The suggestions are not akin those thrown at the South African captain, Graeme Smith, who despite a brilliant 141 could not take his team to a win against England in their league encounter in the ICC Champions Trophy 2009.
While there is merit that the established batsman must take on the duty to carry his bat through the innings, it would be extremely hard to level allegations at a man who brought the team to a victory position that demanded nineteen runs from seventeen balls and that too after making a whirlwind knock of 175 runs himself.
Unfortunately for Tendulkar, this match in Hyderabad, the fifth ODI of the India Australia ODI series, will go down as a loss and once again conjure up discussions of whether Tendulkar has done enough. There is no respite even for the man who has just made 17000 ODI runs!
