In one of the more heartbreaking stories of the day, it was reported that Wasim Akram, former Pakistan captain, is currently in Chennai where his wife was forced into a medical emergency while travelling by an air ambulance.
Wasim Akram and his wife Huma were on their way from Lahore to Singapore where she was expected to receive further treatment via reportedly a neurosurgery for a brain condition. However, with her kidneys having failed, the pilots requested an emergency landing in Chennai where his wife was rushed to the intensive care unit of Apollo Hospital.
In the most testing of times, Akram needs prayers for his wife and the safe keeping of his family.
