Wessels Appointed Selector Cum Batting Consultant; Van Zyl To Be Coach on India Tour
Sreelata Yellamrazu | Jan 29 2010

Both decisions were on expected lines after Cricket South Africa bamboozled all with a two pronged strike.
Corrie van Zyl has been appointed as the South Africa’s coach for South Africa’s tour of India after Mickey Arthur apparently resigned over difference with the South African board, CSA.
To help him in the task he will have little time to orient himself with, Kepler Wessels, who has been appointed selector for the series, will also double as the batting consultant on the tour and will travel to India with the team.
However, Wessels has stated that his is only a temporary role as a selector, given that he has a commitment as commentator to SuperSport.
Corrie van Zyl will hope to make the best of the tour after interacting with the South African captain, Graeme Smith. After all, a permanent coach will eventually coming into reckoning.
