West Indies Through, Plight for India
Bharat | Sep 19 2006

They were the underdogs when they came into the tournament... Now they sit comfortably at the top of the table and the favorites, the Indians are on the verge of bidding adieu to Malaysia.

The day was remarkable for the West Indies... Brain Lara yet again proving his worth...He has been under tremendous pressure in the past... It had been long since Lara was seen in such a form... Owing to which the critics have often written him off, but in the game against Australia, he has proven that he has enough potential and will to play on for his nation

With the win over Australia, West Indies have booked a place for themselves in the finals and have put Team India under immense pressure... India will have to win both its remaining league games against the World Champ’s Australia and the Caribbean’s...Which will certainly be a daunting task for Dravid and his men...I don’t think they are capable enough of defeating both the teams to earn a birth in the finals.

If the Indians loose their next game to West Indies, then the Indians will have only one alternative... And that will be to defeat Australia by a margin of 30 plus to earn a bonus point to try and make it to the finals.
