Younis Khan is showing no interest in showing up for a domestic tournament. Mohammad Yousuf is showing no interest in batting higher up the order. And the Pakistan Cricket Board is contemplating the millions they would have made had India toured Pakistan earlier this year.
Former Pakistan captain as Younis Khan will now be known, has not turned up for a domestic tournament ahead of the PCB picking a team for the tour of Australia, raising speculation about his interests and also, if the PCB will pick a player despite his no show at the domestic event.
Meanwhile, the current Pakistan captain, Mohammad Yousuf is battling criticism that he has not stepped up to the number three position despite the absence of Younis Khan, stating that number four is what he and the team management preferred.
The audits for the PCB have also revealed that Pakistan may have lost revenue in the region of close to 50 million dollars because of India cancelling the tour to Pakistan following the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai.
As Pakistan mulls many matters, at least on the field, they appear to be on the right track at the end of the second day’s play in Wellington in the second Test against New Zealand.
