It’s now official. Yuvraj Singh, like Younis Khan, has suffered a finger fracture. But while Yuvraj is ruled out, Younis can’t hardly wait!
Yuvraj Singh’s finger injury has now been confirmed as a finger fracture and he has been ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa even before the tournament has begun for India. With six weeks needed for recuperation, his place has been taken by ‘the replacement’, Virat Kohli, who also stood in for Gautam Gambhir when the latter suffered a groin strain for the Compaq Cup in Sri Lanka.
But the Pakistan captain, Younis Khan, is refusing to back down despite a hairline fracture. Insisting that he wanted to lead the team against India and Australia in the Group A league stages of the tournament, Younis cannot wait to take a crack at the Indians.
After bitter battles with India in ICC tournaments, Younis is very keen to avenge defeat and that is inspiring him to contemplate taking painkilling injections ahead of their match up on Saturday.
